Beijing, May 24 – (Reporter Zhang Yi) Ford Motor Company is placing significant emphasis on the upcoming 8th Beijing International Auto Show, which will take place next month in China. The company has invested over one million U.S. dollars in its booth, which spans 5,000 square meters, making it the largest and most impressive display in recent history for the event.
Xu Guojun, Vice President of Ford China, stated that the Beijing International Auto Show is considered one of the world’s top automotive exhibitions, alongside events such as the Detroit, Frankfurt, Geneva, and Tokyo auto shows. Ford will showcase a strong lineup of its global brands, including Ford, Lincoln, Mazda, Volvo, Land Rover, Jaguar, and Aston Martin. The exhibition will feature a wide range of concept cars and cutting-edge technologies, marking a new high in terms of both scale and innovation for Ford’s participation in the Chinese market.
Among the highlights is a specially designed concept car that will be transported from abroad using a temperature-controlled container via air freight with China Airlines. It will be stored in a climate-controlled warehouse before being unveiled to the public. This attention to detail reflects Ford’s commitment to maintaining high standards at the event.
Ford remains highly optimistic about the Chinese market and continues to focus on long-term growth in the region. The company currently operates two joint-venture vehicle manufacturing plants and six component factories in China. Vehicles produced locally include the Transit Commercial Van, Ford Fiesta, and Ford Mondeo. Looking ahead, Ford plans to introduce more models to the Chinese market and expand into auto financing and car rental services.
