On November 25th, the Sino-Russian International Technical Conference on Butyl Rubber was successfully held in Beijing, marking the butyl rubber research and development stage. As a high value-added rubber product, butyl rubber has been monopolized by foreign technology. The Lanzhou Petrochemical Research Institute, Lanzhou Ryukyu Engineering Company, and the Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology, which are responsible for the R&D and design of the 35,000 t/y butyl rubber project, conducted in-depth and systematic exchanges with Russian experts to solve the issue of process package preparation. Through this international exchange, Chinese experts further digested the Russian solution butyl rubber process, laying the foundation for determining the major equipment and key process parameters required for the process package.
