New mine acidification pretreatment - thin layer heap leaching project, at the end of 1980 production, with an annual output of about cathode copper 16000t. The mine has a total ore reserves of 1,101,000 tons, of which oxidized ore accounts for 34.6%, mixed ore accounts for 44.0%, sulfide ore accounts for 21.4%, and average grade contains Cu 2.14%, of which soluble copper is 1.17% and insoluble copper is 0.97%. The ore is crushed to below 4.76 mm and then mixed with sulfuric acid (25 kg/t ore) and water (40 kg/t ore). After acidification pretreatment for 24 hours, it is sent to a heap immersion field for pile-up, with a layer height of 2 to 3 m. Here, the second heap leaching leaching solution (containing copper 2.5g / L, acid 5g / L) is leached, the resulting rich liquid contains copper 6g / L, acid 1-2g / L, and then reuse the raffinate (including Copper 1g / L, acid 10g / L, iron 20g / L) leaching. A total of 21 ore piles, each pile of 20 × 20m, daily processing ore 2500t. The primary leachate is subjected to three-stage extraction and two-stage stripping to obtain a rich liquid containing 50 g/L of copper and 130 g/L of acid, and the electrowinning can be sent. The raffinate contains 1 g/L of copper, 9-10 g/L of acid, 20 g/L of iron (including Fe 3 + 7 g/L), and is first oxidized by air or sulfur dioxide to make Fe 3 + reach 10 g/L, and then returned to leaching. It was reported that this method is also suitable for the treatment of calcite and dolomite gangue copper ore containing gold 1 ~ 2g / t of copper oxide and investment secondary copper sulfide is less than $ 3,000; shorter leaching cycle recovery High, copper recovery rate of leaching 18 days of oxidized ore can reach 90%, secondary sulfide ore can reach 40% to 50%; acid consumption is only 60% of other methods; electricity consumption per kilogram of cathode copper is 2.75 degrees, cost is 0.74 US dollars . The process is closed loop, and the tailings are easy to handle, which is more beneficial to environmental protection. The thin layer heap leaching process of the Nouquier copper mine in Chile is shown in Figure 1.
