This is from Steve Redick:

The incident took place in the early hours of Monday on the 2900 block of Irving Park Road in Chicago. It was a large commercial building with a bowstring truss in the rear and a flat roof in the front. I arrived just as the fire was breaking through the roof. This was a challenging fire to manage due to light rain, heavy smoke that lingered low, and a center median planter filled with trees. Additionally, the Snorkel and one of the tower ladders were out of service.

Two tower ladders and a Snorkel were deployed early on, but there were some communication issues during the operation. There are a few photos showing a company using a large hose line at the entrance of an alley to protect a large frame house. You can also see images of Truck 13 with their new Crimson aerial (whether it's an ERV or another name they're using now). The fire lasted for several hours, and crews remained on scene until around lunchtime. Here’s a selection of the photos.
