According to police, the fire broke out just before 10 a.m. at a residence on the 5200 block of South Lorel Avenue. The Chicago Fire Department reported via Twitter that two adult males were found unresponsive inside the building and later succumbed to their injuries in the fire. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims, but they are currently working to determine the cause of the fire and whether it was intentional. Residents in the area have been advised to stay clear of the scene as investigators continue their work.
