I recently came across some interesting photos on the Alexis Fire Apparatus website showcasing the refurbishment of the Mokena FPD ambulance. It’s always fascinating to see how these vehicles go through a transformation process to ensure they remain fully functional and up to date with the latest standards. Attached is one of the images from their gallery. The ambulance is shown in the midst of its refurbishment, highlighting the intricate work that goes into restoring such vital emergency vehicles. This particular image gives a clear view of the vehicle’s exterior, which appears to be undergoing significant upgrades. Further down, you’ll find a set of thumbnail images that provide additional glimpses into the refurbishment project. Each thumbnail shows different angles or stages of the process, giving a comprehensive look at what’s involved. These images capture everything from detailed close-ups to broader views of the entire vehicle, ensuring no aspect of the restoration is overlooked. The thumbnails are neatly organized, allowing viewers to navigate through the various stages of the project effortlessly. It’s impressive to see the level of detail and care put into each step, as every element of the ambulance is meticulously attended to. Whether it's repainting, replacing parts, or upgrading equipment, each phase contributes to the final product—a fully restored and reliable emergency response vehicle. If you’re interested in seeing more, there’s an option to view the entire sequence as a slideshow. This feature lets you experience the transformation journey in a dynamic format, making it easier to follow along and appreciate the full scope of the project. For those who prefer a more hands-on approach, the thumbnails also serve as a great starting point for exploring specific areas of interest. Overall, this project not only demonstrates the dedication of the team at Alexis Fire Apparatus but also highlights the importance of maintaining high-quality emergency vehicles. It’s a reminder of how critical these services are and the effort behind keeping them running smoothly. I hope you enjoy browsing through these visuals! If you have any questions about the process or would like to learn more, feel free to reach out. It’s always inspiring to see how much effort goes into something we often take for granted in our daily lives.

Oil Pump

The role of the oil pump in the lubrication system:
The function of the oil pump is to raise the oil to a certain pressure and force the ground pressure to the moving surface of the engine parts. The structure of oil pump can be divided into two categories: gear type and rotor type.
Gear type oil pump is divided into internal gear type and external gear type, generally referred to as the latter gear type oil pump.

Structural characteristics of oil pump:
Simple structure, small size, light weight, large oil transmission. Cycloidal rotor pump system adopts the structure of internal and external rotor meshing, the number of teeth is small, the structure size is compact, and the sealing cavity can be formed without other isolation elements, and the number of parts is small.

What is the working principle of oil pump?
When the engine is working, the drive gear on the camshaft with the transmission gear of the motor oil pump, so that the drive gear fixed on the drive gear shaft rotates, thereby driving the driven gear to rotate in the opposite direction, the oil from the oil inlet cavity along the backlash and pump wall to the oil outlet cavity.
In this way, a low pressure is formed at the oil inlet chamber to produce suction, which sucks the oil in the oil pan into the oil chamber.
Due to the continuous rotation of the main and driven gears, the oil is constantly pressed to the required part.
