**SAN FRANCISCO—(BUSINESS WIRE)—** Autodesk, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADSK), a global leader in design and engineering software, has announced an agreement to acquire netfabb, a renowned developer of software solutions for industrial additive design and manufacturing based in Lüdenscheid, Germany. Additionally, Autodesk will make a strategic investment in FIT Technology Group, the parent company of netfabb, which specializes in additive manufacturing software and services. This collaboration aims to boost the adoption of advanced technologies within the industrial 3D Printing sector.
The transaction is expected to close during Autodesk's fourth quarter of fiscal year 2016 and will be funded using foreign capital. Specific terms of the deal remain undisclosed.
