The reporter learned from the Information Standardization Center of the Municipal Quality Supervision Bureau yesterday that the National Standardization Administration and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine jointly issued the National Standard for the Safety of Civil Primary Battery Safety (Standard No.: GB 24462-2009), which was in 2010. It was officially implemented on December 1.

The standard proposes guidelines for the purchase, use, replacement and handling of residential primary batteries. Among them, when using the primary battery, it should be noted that before the battery is installed in the battery compartment of the electrical appliance, it should be checked whether the contact parts of the battery and the electrical appliance are clean and the polarity of the battery is correct. If necessary, wipe it with a damp cloth, and then put it into the battery after drying; do not charge the original battery; do not force the battery to discharge; do not directly solder or disassemble the battery; do not use electrical appliances under harsh conditions, such as placing electrical appliances Beside the radiator or in a car parked in the sun, etc. Avoid placing the battery in a pocket with a key or coin in daily use, as this may cause a short circuit in the battery, causing the battery to overheat, leak, vent, rupture, explode, and personal injury. It should also be noted that the lithium primary battery damaged by the outer casing cannot be in contact with water, because the metallic lithium will cause hydrogen, fire, explosion and the like when it encounters water.
