The process of treating the antimony concentrate by slurry electrolysis is shown in Figure 1.

Figure 1 Process flow chart of slurry electrolysis treatment of antimony concentrate

The antimony concentrate is slurried in the slurry tank and added to the anode region of the slurry electrolyzer. The antimony in the concentrate is leached into the solution in the anode region, and then passes through the separator into the cathode region to reduce the precipitation of the sponge crucible at the cathode. After the sponge is dewatered by pressure filtration, it is subjected to reduction smelting to obtain coarse mash, and then refined by fire to produce fine sputum. After the purple ore anode region by pressure filtration, the filtrate was returned ore slurry tank, the composition according to leach residue, the recovery may be further processed to elemental sulfur and other valuable metals, such as molybdenum. In actual production, most of the filtrate is returned to the ingredients, and a small amount of open circuit is processed to avoid accumulation of impurities such as Fe, Mg, SO 4 2 - and the like.

In a chlorine salt low acid system, the reactions that may occur in the anode region are as follows:

In the cathode region, precipitation of metal occurs:

It can be seen from the above reaction mechanism that the slurry electrolysis of strontium is organically combined with the anodic oxidation leaching of strontium concentrate, the cathodic reduction of strontium ions and the oxidative regeneration of leaching agent, so that the oxidation reaction of the anode and The reduction reaction of the cathode is fully utilized.

The traditional hydrometallurgical process, compared with the pyrometallurgical process, eliminates the pollution of sulfur dioxide gas, but the process is often complicated. While retaining the advantages of traditional bismuth metallurgy, the slurry electrolysis method also has the following main features:

(1) The process is short. Simultaneous leaching and electrolytic deposition can produce metal in one step, and the process is simple and the operation cost is low.

(2) Working at near normal temperature without external heating. The heat of reaction and Joule heat of the electrolysis process are sufficient to ensure the temperature required for the system.

(3) The ore-electrolyte-anode-air bubble system has a very strong depolarization ability, and the anode reaction is mainly based on the oxidation of Fe 2 + , which greatly reduces the anode potential, so the cell voltage is low and the total process energy consumption is low. .

(4) Reagent consumption is small. Except for the consumption of a small amount of acid for the alkaline gangue in the ore, the entire process is essentially free of reagent consumption.

(5) Due to the low temperature, the material of the equipment is easy to solve.

(6) The sulfur contained in the stibnite is produced in the form of elemental sulfur and can be further recovered. The elemental sulfur produced is easy to store and transport, and can solve the problem of excessive sulfuric acid production and difficult transportation and sales of sulfuric acid.

(7) It can be produced in small scale and batch, with great flexibility.

(8) Comprehensive recycling and utilization, less pollution, is an environmentally friendly process.

Sodium Formate

Sodium formate (English name Sodium formate; Formic Acid sodium salt), also known as sodium formate, contains two crystal waters in the crystal, so it is also called sodium formate dihydrate, sodium formate dihydrate, sodium formate dihydrate (Sodiumformatehydrate). Sodium formate is one of the simplest organic carboxylates. It is white crystals or powder with a slight Formic ACID odor. Slightly deliquescent and hygroscopic. Soluble in about 1.3 parts of water and glycerin, slightly soluble in ethanol and octanol, insoluble in ether. Its aqueous solution is alkaline. When heated, sodium formate decomposes into hydrogen and sodium oxalate, and then generates sodium carbonate.
