(a) Kyanite . A large number of studies have shown that when pH=3.0-8.5, the kyanite is floated with sodium anion collector sodium sulphate, and the flotation property is not affected by pH value. At pH=3.0~12, the cyanine is well floated with the cationic collector dodecylamine, and its floatability is greatly affected by the pH value change. The buoyancy is better in an alkaline medium, and at this time, the regulator fluoride only acts as a weak activation. The flotation theory and practice of kyanite show that the type of collector, the amount of the agent, the pH value of the medium, the stirring time, the temperature, the particle size of the material, and the soluble salts of the pulp all have an effect on the flotation of kyanite.

It has been reported in foreign countries that it is pretreated with sodium fluoride or acid, and after washing with water, oleic acid or a cationic collector (C 12 -C 19 amine) can simultaneously float kyanite and feldspar from quartz . Because kyanite is often symbiotic with quartz, it is best to use an anionic collector to float kyanite; if oleic acid is used as a collector, sodium carbonate is added to make pH=7.5, and quartz is used to suppress flotation with citric acid.

The former Soviet Union Alesheev proposed to use 400g / t high molecular weight alkylate as a collector flotation kyanite at pH = 4.0 ~ 4.5; he also applied hydrocarbon emulsion (30% tower) Oil, 30% C 10 - C 16 synthetic carboxylic acid 40% neutral oil and 10% alkyl sulfonate) as a collector, flotation kyanite at pH = 6.0 ~ 7.0.

(2) Andalusite . Studies have shown that both cation and anion collectors are well floated. The use of anionic collector, pH=3~10, the floatability is not affected by the pH value, but the fluoride has a very obvious inhibitory effect; using the cationic collector, it is advantageous to float in the range of the alkaline value. And fluoride ions can activate andalusite.

The study also showed that oleic acid can float floccule well at pH=4~9, and the pH value is outside this range, and its floatability drops sharply. The andalusite is treated with dilute acid to change the zero point to a weak acid value. In the lower pH range, the andrograph is well recovered with the weak cation collector dodecyl acetate.

(3) Sillimanite . Foreign studies have shown that the use of cationic collectors and anionic collectors for flotation of sillimanite, the better results are pre-selected desliming, in soda media, oleic acid flotation. Supplemented with formic acid can be suppressed mica; in case of a mineral material contains iron, sodium hexametaphosphate may be added or pyrophosphate; available waterglass and sodium fluoride inhibition associated minerals quartz, for some ores, sodium fluoride More selective than water glass.

Production practice shows that oleic acid is used to float a mixture of 20% silicon-containing stone, gangue mineral is mica and quartz clay, and phosphate or sodium silicate is added to the process. When pH=9.5, sillimanite can be obtained. More than 90% recovery rate.
