Autodesk has once again made a strategic investment in the Israeli tech scene, this time in Jumper Labs, a startup led by serial entrepreneur Jonathan Seroussi. The new funding marks a reunion between Autodesk and Seroussi, who previously worked with the company when his former firm was acquired back in 2009. Jumper Labs, based in Israel and accessible at Jumper.io, offers a powerful platform that simplifies the development and testing of embedded software for IoT devices. This aligns perfectly with Autodesk’s ongoing mission to support manufacturers in creating smarter, more connected products. By investing in Jumper, Autodesk is reinforcing its belief in IoT as a cornerstone of the future of manufacturing. The platform allows companies of all sizes to simulate and test their IoT products in virtual environments before committing to physical prototypes. This not only reduces R&D time but also accelerates product iterations and enables seamless testing of updates, including critical security patches. As a result, manufacturers can bring their smart products to market faster and more efficiently. Jumper plans to integrate with the Autodesk Forge Platform, leveraging its cloud services, APIs, and SDKs to help developers build the next generation of digital tools and experiences. This collaboration will further enhance the capabilities of both companies, enabling a smoother and more scalable IoT design process. Jonathan Seroussi, CEO of Jumper, expressed his excitement about joining the Autodesk ecosystem. “This investment will allow us to focus on our mission: empowering companies to create, test, and launch smart, connected products and systems,” he said. “We’re thrilled to be working alongside Autodesk and to continue building innovative solutions for the future of manufacturing.” In December 2015, Autodesk launched the Forge Fund with an initial commitment of $100 million, aimed at supporting startups and innovators developing solutions on its Forge platform. The fund reflects Autodesk’s long-term vision of fostering a cloud-connected ecosystem that drives the future of making things. Israel continues to be a hub of innovation, especially in the field of IoT. With companies like Jumper and Seebo leading the way, it's clear that the country is playing a key role in shaping how smart products are designed, tested, and brought to market. Autodesk remains committed to supporting early-stage companies that are pushing the boundaries of digital manufacturing and IoT technology.
