The Rod Pump is a critical component used in oil and gas well operations. It is designed to be assembled on the ground and connected to the lower end of the sucker rod, then lowered into the well as a single unit. Once in place, it is fixed inside the tubing using a pre-installed seating nipple at the desired depth (pump setting depth). This method significantly reduces workover time compared to traditional tubing pump systems, often by at least 50%.
There are three main types of rod pumps: the Traveling Barrel Bottom Anchor Rod Pump, the Stationary Heavy Wall Barrel Bottom Anchor Rod Pump, and the Stationary Heavy Wall Barrel Top Anchor Rod Pump.
1) **Stationary Barrel Bottom Anchor Rod Pump (RHBC and RHBM)**

However, the stationary barrel is more exposed to internal pressure and tensile forces caused by the fluid column.
