The demand for electricity will be tighter this summer and is expected to reach 800,000 to 1 million kilowatts. At the beginning of power cuts, it is generally down to around 80%. The company can meet basic production requirements through rational deployment. However, after entering May, the load has once dropped to 50%, which has caused the production and operation, especially the safe operation of equipment. With great pressure, this enterprise is very troubled. The off-season has been the case, and one can imagine that with the passage of time, the peak of electricity consumption is approaching and companies will inevitably face greater difficulties. “The current economic benefits are secondary, mainly because such ultra-low-load operation for a long time, it is easy to cause safety accidents, and now we are particularly stressed. Although chlor-alkali is a typical high-energy-consuming enterprises, the power sector may feel sacrificed. Our family can be a lot of happy families, but we must also take into account the actual situation of the company. After all, chlor-alkali is the most basic chemical raw material. Our shutdown will not only affect many downstream manufacturers, but also for our company. It's not fair," said the person in charge of the company.

Another Ningbo-based Yisheng Petrochemical Co., Ltd., which also produces PTA, is also a large consumer of electricity. Yu Qiangen, director of the company’s office, told reporters that before the company’s electricity was still normal, but the day before the reporter’s interview, the company had just received electricity. The department’s notice indicates that the power sector will adopt power restriction policies for more industrial companies in the near future and invite companies to make preparations. “Last year was because of the completion of energy-saving emission reduction assessment indicators, so there is no electricity for you to use, this year, but really no electricity for you.” Yu Qiang, said, “It is estimated that this summer, petrochemical companies will be very It's better."

Petrochemical enterprises in Hangzhou, Shaoxing and other regions are slightly better than those in Ningbo, but some regions where industrial enterprises are relatively concentrated have implemented power-reduction policies. For example, in Xiaoshan, Hangzhou, Hangzhou Lishi Fertilizer Co., Ltd. was caught off guard by a sudden power outage in the past two days. It was only afterwards that it learned that the power company had taken a temporary power outage due to overload, and this company felt very helpless. "Chemical production is continuous production. Sudden power cuts are particularly detrimental to equipment. The power sector should at least give enterprises a reminder before power is cut off," said a company's production manager.

The gap in electricity consumption in Jiaxing area this summer is also very large. Although there is currently no electricity restriction for enterprises, the enterprises have generally felt the atmosphere of power shortage, indicating that they have been psychologically prepared for the “electricity shortage” this summer. Lu Yueliang, deputy director of the Economic and Trade Bureau of the Development and Construction Committee of Jiaxing Port, told reporters that they are currently working out a schedule to allow companies in the region to stop production and maintenance during the period from July to August.
