Under the heavy downtrend in the heavy truck market, heavy truck giants have adopted new energy vehicles as the development direction of commercial vehicles. In particular, LNG heavy trucks are becoming new strategic products.

Dong Xiucheng, director of the China Oil and Gas Industry Development Research Center of China University of Petroleum and vice president of the Institute of Business Administration, told reporters that the emergence of LNG heavy trucks will inevitably break the existing industrial structure. However, at present, the industry generally lacks uniform national technical norms and standards, and it is imperative to strengthen government supervision and access.

China's heavy truck sales are expected to double

Zhuo Chuang, an information energy industry analyst Wang Xiaokun, told reporters that in 2011, the domestic LNG heavy trucks had 29,952 units, and in 2012 sales exceeded 30,000 units. It is estimated that by 2015, the annual demand for LNG heavy trucks will increase to around 100,000 units, which will account for about 10% of the sales of heavy trucks that year; and the number of LNG heavy trucks will be 220,000, accounting for about 5% of the total amount of heavy trucks.

China National Heavy Duty Truck and Foton Motors, which were engaged in the research and development of new energy heavy trucks earlier, have made considerable gains in LNG heavy trucks this year.

According to this year's production and sales newsletter, the sales of heavy truck LNG trucks in China have exceeded 2,300 units in the first quarter, and they also achieved volume export. Guo Huanan revealed that the sales of heavy truck LNG heavy trucks in China in the first five months of this year have been nearly 4,000 units, and it is expected that they can almost double in the whole year.

Guo Huanan said that the main reason for the detonation of the LNG auto market is its economic nature. In the domestic market, China National Heavy Duty Truck LNG heavy trucks are mainly sold to gas sources in Xinjiang, Henan, Sichuan, and Dongying in the province. Although the selling price is 50,000-80,000 yuan higher than that of a diesel vehicle of the same type, due to its good economy, this additional cost can be recovered in one year. With the popularization of LNG refueling stations, LNG heavy trucks will move to more areas. "LNG heavy trucks are not lacking orders. If assembly capacity can keep up, production and sales volume is expected to increase further," said Guo Huanan.

Foton wins "Return customers" list

On the 4th, Foton Motor issued an announcement saying that in the near future, the company holds a 50% stake in the subsidiary Beijing Futian Daimler Automotive Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Fukuda Daimler") and Ningxia Litong Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as " “Ningxia Litong” signed a sales contract for 114 Auman LNG heavy trucks, including 100 Auman 9 Series “8×4 LNG” dump trucks and 14 “6×4 LNG” dump trucks. At present, the deposit paid by the buyer has been received.

This is not the first time Fukuda Daimler has won the Ningxia Litong. On March 12th, Foton Motor also announced that it had signed a sales contract with Ningxia Litong for 60 Auman LNG heavy trucks (9-series tractors) for logistics transportation.

From 60 tractors to 114 dump trucks, the Foton Daimler LNG heavy truck can be described as the trust of Ningxia Litong. 174 vehicles are not a small single. Last year, Foton’s LNG heavy-duty trucks sold only more than 600 vehicles. This customer’s two large orders accounted for nearly one-third of last year’s total sales.

In addition, Shaanxi Zhongqi LNG heavy trucks have covered 210-380 hp tractors, trucks, dump trucks, etc., and the driving range has increased from 200 km to 300 km to 2,070 km; the joint truck also introduced 6×4 LNG tractors. , 6×4 LNG mixers and other LNG models.

Urgently needed technical standards

According to Wang Xiaokun, natural gas is cheaper and safer than diesel fuel. With the upgrading of oil products, the prices of gasoline and diesel oil are still likely to rise. The economic benefits of natural gas will be even more pronounced. In addition, the relative proportion of natural gas to air is 0.6 to 0.7. Once it leaks, it can spread in the air, has a very good environmental protection effect, and almost zero emissions; at the same time, it can also extend the maintenance cycle of the automobile engine, and has a promising market prospect.

The popularity of LNG refueling stations will undoubtedly greatly expand the transportation radius of LNG heavy trucks. The number of CNG (compressed natural gas) and LNG refueling stations in Shandong is 433, ranking the first in the country, and has recently started to be launched intensively in highway service areas. As of the end of April, two LNG refueling stations have been commissioned in Shandong Expressway Service Area, with 4 completed and 8 under construction. It is expected that by the end of the year, 20 will be built to basically meet the demand in the province and surrounding areas; by 2020, a hundred LNG refueling stations will be built to basically realize the networked layout of LNG refueling stations.

Dong Xiucheng told the reporter that the biggest advantages of LNG heavy trucks are economic efficiency and low emissions. Compared with traditional gasoline and diesel vehicles, fuel-saving costs are about 30%-40%, and pollutant emissions are also greatly reduced, which makes transport companies and places The government has a soft spot for it. LNG vehicles are undoubtedly the priority of the country and encourage development. However, although the country has already issued plans for the development of automobiles and natural gas, there is no national detailed development plan for LNG vehicles and gas stations, which can easily lead to blind expansion and repeated construction in various places. .

"Where can you build a gas station? How to build it? There is not a unified national standard." Dong Xiucheng believes that there is no detailed planning, lack of necessary technical standards and industry norms, the government's approval of operation and supervision are very difficult, not conducive to LNG The overall development of the industry.
