On the morning of February 11th, 2009, Beijing National Zhongyan Construction Machinery Manufacturing Company and the Beijing Shijingshan District Environmental Sanitation Center jointly held a new product launch conference for the 4th Special Purpose Vehicle held at the Haiguan Gloria Grand Hotel in Beijing Shijingshan District. Six special vehicles chassis equipped with Yuchai 4 engines were produced. This is the first four-special vehicle equipped with domestic engines.
At the press conference, Dr. Li Qin of Yuchai was invited to detail the advantages and characteristics of Yuchai 4 engine. Wei Zhe, director of Yuchai’s Beijing office, gave a focused introduction to Yuchai’s 4 engine service network and spare parts reserves. According to Li Qin, Yuchai has already joined several truck manufacturers in developing R&D 4 trucks. The Yuchai Guo 4 truck engine consists of four YC6K, YC6M, YC6L, and YC6J engines, covering 180-550 hp; of which YC6K is international. Leading-edge high-end heavy-duty engines, with a power range of 390-550 hp, are mainly developed for modern high-speed high-end heavy trucks and high-end large-scale luxury passenger cars. The YC6M, YC6L, and YC6J are upgraded on the basis of a mature four-valve-country three-engine. The components have a good inheritance, and the peripheral installation size is not much different from that of the country 3 models. The development of the 4 models of Other models has also made great progress and will soon be on the market. At present, Yuchai's National 4 models all adopt wet cylinder structures, which have higher engine reliability and lower maintenance costs.
Beijing has already implemented the national 4 emission standard. In 2009, the sales of special vehicles fitted with Yuchai Guo 4 engines will exceed 1,000 vehicles. Shanghai will also implement the national 4 emission standard on November 1, 2009, and the implementation of other 4 cities will also enter the countdown phase, and the 4th national era will soon come.
