This project was jointly undertaken by Beijing Tiancheng Linglong Tire Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shandong Linglong Tire Co., Ltd., and Beijing University of Chemical Technology. The team of Professor Guo Baochun of South China University of Technology gave key technical support and eventually won the semi-steel of Shandong Linglong Tire Co., Ltd. The radial tire production line completed the tire trial production.

The important results of the research on the large-scale preparation and application of graphene/rubber composite materials are: using the graphene pretreatment technology jointly developed by the cooperation team, the graphene pretreatment body obtained by low cost is applied to the tire tread formula. It can be produced by making appropriate process adjustments without changing the existing tire production process and equipment, thus ensuring that the industrial production process is feasible and cost-controllable; third-party test verification shows that the trial-made tires achieve fuel economy and safety. At the same time as the breakthrough of key properties such as antistatic, it successfully reflects the application value of graphene in green energy-saving tires. The fuel economy of the tires is close to the EU labeling fuel efficiency class A. The wetland safety is predicted to achieve the A-level level of the wetness of the wet-slip road brakes of the EU labeling method, and the comprehensive performance has reached the international advanced level. The tire's resistance is 10^6Ω, which is far superior to national and industry requirements and will provide new and simpler solutions for the development of antistatic tires. In addition, the wear resistance and thermal conductivity of the tires are differently improved compared to the high-performance green tires on the market.
