**Working Principle of Cartridge Filter**
The cartridge filter consists of a cabinet, filter cartridges, and an injection system. When dusty air enters the collector, the sudden expansion and air distribution plate cause larger particles to settle in the ash hopper due to gravity and inertia. Finer particles are captured in the dust filtering chamber through a combination of Brownian diffusion and sieve filtration. As dust accumulates on the filter material, the resistance increases. When the resistance reaches a set value, the system cuts off the airflow, opens the electromagnetic pulse valve, and uses compressed air to clean the filter. The vibration caused by the compressed air dislodges the dust, which then falls into the ash hopper and is discharged through the discharge valve.
**Applications**
This pulse jet cartridge dust collector is ideal for applications such as blast furnace blower inlet dust removal, oxygen generator systems, air compressor intake, control room gas purification, clean workshops, public building HVAC systems, and low-concentration flue gas treatment. As materials and dust removal technologies continue to evolve, the application scope of cartridge filters is expanding. They are now widely used in industries like construction materials, metallurgy, power generation, food processing, and chemicals, often replacing traditional bag filters and electrostatic precipitators.
**Structure and Components**
The system mainly comprises three parts: the filter cartridges, the cabinet, and the ash removal mechanism.
1. **Filter Cartridges**: Made up of an outer layer, inner layer, and middle layer. The inner and outer layers are covered with metal mesh or hard plastic nets, while the middle layer is folded filter material. A sub-micron ultra-thin fiber layer is attached to the surface, creating very tight gaps (0.12–0.6 μm). This design increases the effective filtration area significantly.
2. **Cabinet**: Acts as the main housing, including the gas tank and ash hopper. The gas tank provides cleaning space and helps distribute airflow efficiently. The ash hopper collects the filtered dust.
3. **Ash Removal Mechanism**: Includes blow pipes, pulse valves, and air bags. When dust builds up on the filter surfaces, the system automatically cleans using compressed air. The pulse valve opens, blowing compressed air through the filter to remove the dust, which then falls into the ash hopper and is discharged.

**Small Footprint Cartridge Dust Collector Similar to Donaldson**
**Introduction**
The cartridge filter is a type of dust collection system that uses filter cartridges as the primary filtration element. It is an advanced solution for air and industrial powder (smoke) dust removal, developed based on pulse bag filters. With high air volume (over 99.5% efficiency), low pressure requirements (0.2–0.6 MPa), and low resistance loss (800–1000 Pa), it is highly favored by users. This system offers advanced technology, compact design, compliance with emission standards, a small footprint, lower investment costs, and reduced operating expenses.
