Chicago Fire Department Still & Box Alarm Fire Lawndale 7-15-11

Josh Boyajian was on the scene this afternoon when a still and box alarm was called in for a structure on Lawndale. Upon arrival, Engine 38 and Truck 48 were already on the scene, followed shortly by Engine 109 and Truck 32. As units arrived, Truck 38 took sector one while Engine 38 advanced down the block. Squad 1 had an American LaFrance spare piece, known as X-Engine 23, on duty.

Josh shared several photos from the incident. The scene was busy with multiple units responding to the alarm. Firefighters were seen working quickly to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading further.

Chicago Fire Department Still & Box Alarm Fire Lawndale 7-15-11 Chicago Spare Squad

It was a typical still and box alarm situation, but the quick response from the Chicago Fire Department helped bring the fire under control before it could spread. The area remains under investigation, and no injuries have been reported so far.
