Although 2020 was a challenging year for many, at Flyability we remained focused and productive. We had a lot to celebrate, and we’re excited to look back on the key milestones and achievements that defined our journey last year. Before we dive into what we accomplished in 2020, we want to take a moment to thank all of our clients, partners, prospects, and supporters around the world. Wishing you all a safe, successful, and inspiring 2021! 2020 started with a major milestone—our first U.S. office opened in Denver, Colorado. This expansion helped us better serve our growing customer base across North America. As the year came to a close, we were thrilled to announce the completion of our Series C funding round, raising an impressive 7 million Euros (approximately $8.6 million USD). The new funds will be used to accelerate our mission of developing cutting-edge indoor drones and software solutions. Our U.S. office is already playing a vital role in supporting our American clients and expanding our presence in the market. In late 2020, we launched Inspector 3.0, a powerful tool that enables inspectors to localize data on a 3D map created after each inspection flight. This feature eliminates the guesswork involved in identifying defect locations, allowing maintenance teams to pinpoint issues precisely on a sparse point cloud. Previously, inspectors relied on multiple data points to estimate where a defect might be located. With Inspector 3.0, this process becomes more accurate and efficient, improving safety and reducing downtime. Watch this video to learn more about Inspector 3.0: Want to try out Inspector 3.0? With conferences moving online due to the pandemic, we adapted quickly and hosted a series of webinars to keep our community informed and engaged. We converted our planned User Conference talks into a webinar series and continued offering content throughout the year. In total, we held 21 webinars, attracting over 21,000 registrants and nearly 4,000 attendees. Some of the most popular topics included: All webinar recordings are available for you to watch anytime. Check out the full list here. 2020 was also a year of sharing success stories. We published several case studies demonstrating how our drone technology improves safety and reduces costs for our clients. The TVA tested the Elios 2 for scrubber inspections and saw a dramatic reduction in time and risk. Read the case study here. Marine Inspection Services saved their client $2 million using the Elios 2 for cargo tank inspections. Learn more here. These are just two examples of the many success stories we shared last year. View all case studies here. Last year, we also supported groundbreaking research missions. Two videos highlighted our contributions to exploration and science. This mission explored ice caves in Greenland to study water movement under ice, helping scientists understand climate change impacts. Read more here. This mission provided critical visual data from Reactor Five at Chernobyl, one of the most dangerous places on Earth. Learn more here. Throughout 2020, we continued publishing detailed guides on important topics for our industry. These resources help our community understand complex subjects and how drones can support them. Some of the guides we released include: In total, we published 11 guides last year.
